Debriefing your DISC Report

PART I

At this stage, the key part for you to look at is Part I. Part I focuses on understanding yourself within your role, and your preferred DISC style characteristics. It also offers strategies for increasing your personal and professional effectiveness. It is important to note that there is no ‘best’ behavioral style. Each style has its own unique strengths, limitations, and opportunities for improvement. Knowing what your strengths and limitations are, enables you to produce better, more consistent performances.

The most successful and effective people know what they do best and where they need to improve. Most people are very eager to jump straight into the information about their own personal profiles – so this is what we’ve done with Part I of this report.

PART II

Part II discusses the Application of DISC, including DISC theory, and the tools and materials we will be discussing further in this learning guide. Part II provides valuable background and reference materials about DISC. Using this information you can begin to identify likely behavioral styles of others you interact with in your sport or business role. Knowing this information can help build more productive relationships. There are also action plans provided, which we recommend share with others too. This can greatly enhance each of those relationships.

PART III

Part III includes feedback from those you invite as ‘observers’. As an optional element of your DISC Profile, you can invite observers to complete an assessment about how they see you in your role. This is valuable 360 degree feedback, and is at your control as to who to invite. If you have only completed your own survey, Part III will not contain comments as you have not undertaken this process. If you choose to use this capability at a later time, your report will be updated with your Observer’s comments when you re-download it.
