Welcome to the Summer section of the Dance Team’s DISC development!

We’ll be exploring how to use DISC Profiling to unlock greater potential both on and off the dance floor by understanding team dynamics and strengthening collaboration. Whether you’re rehearsing as a group, performing in competition, or leading your team, effective communication is essential to building trust, unity, and shared success. At every stage of your dance journey, whether you’re a performer, choreographer, or coach, self-awareness is the foundation of growth. DISC Profiling is a powerful tool to help you better understand your own style and how you interact with others, providing practical insights that can elevate your contribution to the team.

This program is designed to help you recognize the value of team dynamics and show you how to apply DISC Profiling to your development as a dancer and teammate. You’ll gain tools to adapt, play to your strengths, address any limiting behaviors, embrace different personalities and communication styles, and ultimately, enhance the way your team connects, collaborates, and performs together.

To prepare you for what’s ahead, we’ll cover

  • New dancers – welcome & completing your AthleteDISC Profile
  • A refresher of DISC Profiling to prepare you for applying the model to working within a team.
  • How you can use your knowledge of DISC to understand and maximize team dynamics.
  • The GRIP Model and how this aids in developing and sustaining team culture.
